Private funds were raised to support the story-telling part of this project. Contributors are offered honoraria for their participation. Some contributors have asked that their honoraria be donated to programs serving LGBTQ youth of color.

KJ Ward is the creator of GLASS Reflects and a former director of Boston GLASS Community Center. The Selection Committee for the Memorial Award is comprised of KJ Ward and former center members, Devin Monteiro and Brian Salman.
